Katie is part of the policy and research team, assisting with health care affordability and delivery system projects. She also coordinates the Health Coverage Fellowship. Prior to this position, Katie focused on global health efforts, working in an orphanage in South Africa, studying public health in Uganda, and working with community-based organizations to expand access to culturally competent health care for Somali refugees in Lewiston, Maine. She currently volunteers for Partners for ACCESS, a community-based organization working to improve access to quality health care in a rural district in Uganda. Katie holds a bachelors degree in Politics from Bates College.
