Strengthening the Voice for Access

Overview

Strengthening the Voice for Access provides one-year grants for core operating support to Massachusetts organizations and initiatives whose mission activities significantly include a focus on promoting the health care interests of uninsured and low-income residents. The ultimate goal of this grant area is to strengthen community-based policy activities, increase citizen participation in public policy development, and promote collaboration among state policy and advocacy organizations on health care access issues for uninsured and low-income people.

Program Status

Sixteen grantees were selected for a one-year grant of $25,000-$50,000 by the Foundation's Board of Directors in December 2009.  The next opportunity to apply for this funding will be in the fall of 2010. Guidelines for the 2010 grant cycle are now available.
